Off he goes to Ecuador..... Bye Ryan!
I dropped Ry off at the airport bright and early this morning, well I guess, rainy and early this morning.
As of right now Ryan is flying over Arkansas/Tennesee/Missouri (the plane looks really big on the flight tracker. It takes up 4 states). Their plane will be landing in Atlanta in about an hour from now and then they will continue on to Ecuador. I'll keep you all posted when I hear more.

Are you for ReAL? and other events....
This weekend has been quite a fun one. Ryan and I decided that we needed to spend some quality time together as this was out last weekend together for quite a while, until June to be exact. We loaded ourselves in the car and off we went to Park City.
We stopped at our favorite pub on Main Street and ate their YUMMY nachoes! They have the best nachoes ever made. After lunch we hit the outlets for some awesome shopping at Banana. They had some really good deals.
We then made our way down to SLC for the ReAL game. I've never been to one of their games and I wasn't so stoked when it was rainy and freezing cold on Saturday, but we had a blast. Thanks Broc for the tickets and thanks Josh for dragging us with you! Good thing ReAL won 6 to 0! I don't know if I've ever seen a soccer game with that kind of score. Sunday was full of family time. We headed up to Denny Dunn's house and ate chicken noodle with that family and then down to the Marziale home to spend some time with their kids (and Steph of course).

Not sure where he learned this, but HELLO! What a great weekend! I couldn't have wished for it to be better. I'm sure going to miss my honey while he's in Ecuador. :(

Sallie Mae I have a scholarship please??
I have to let Ryan know just how proud I am of him. He works so hard with his school work and succeeds beyond any expectation. He recently received the Sallie Mae scholarship in which only 8 students from Salt Lake and Utah counties receive. Way to go Ry! I'm so proud of you and thank you for working so dang hard!

I got kicked by a goat....
You heard me. A real life goat, a kid if you will. Whoa, whoa, wait a minute, not 1 but 2, yes that's right, 2 kids kicked me this morning. Is this normal?
It all started yesterday. I was working in the basement/office/music room/whatever room where my closet is, and heard this big thud. Bella started freaking out. I had no idea what was going on until I looked out the window. Ah hah! The fence in the backyard was blown over by the lovely wind. Thank you wind!!! Now, not only can I see the neighbors backyard, I can see their 2 goats wandering around. Fun you might think. But low and behold, as I'm working this morning at 8:00, I see something out of the corner of my eye in OUR backyard. Oh, no worries, it's just the neighbors dog. But wait! Two seconds later, here comes a goat. I started freaking out and ran upstairs to tell Carolyn (my mother-in-law for those of you who don't know her) to call the neighbors and tell them their goats were running away. I told her I would try to be animal control until she could get ahold of the neighbors.
This is where I come in. Ashley Animal Rescuer. I run outside in my PJs and slippers to try and catch the one little goat that has escaped. Thankfully it came right to me, wagging it's tail. Weird right? So I pick it up and off I go to take it back to the other side of the fallen fence. On the way back it started kicking me, all the while I'm freaking out trying to protect my face. Legs flailing and kicking, I push it through the PVC fence (a temporary fence to keeps goats IN) and tell it to go home. Bad idea. Now it knows exactly how to get in and out of the stupid PVC fence. Just when I think I'm safe I turn around and what did I find? BOTH GOATS HAD ESCAPED! Now not only am I getting kicked by one goat when I pick it up, I have two wanting to kick me. Thanks to my gigantic muscles I was able to lift our fallen fence and keep the goats trapped in their own yard. Ah..... Now I'm stuck with the goats in their backyard. What a fun morning. Thankfully I found a way out of the backyard and back to my basement/office/music room/whatever room where my closet is and back to my job. Whew.

What a Weekend!
This weekend has been so much fun and it's only Saturday evening with more to come! Last night I went to dinner with my friends from high school. Oh how I love these ladies. They are all such amazing women and it's so much fun to get together with them and laugh. (Molly, Me, Leslie and Taya, Sara (Presli), Dari and Lola). We got to go to the new Iggy's in Orem and chow down on some ultra yummy food.
This morning I got up and called Tina and bribed her to leave the comforts of Elk Ridge with a trip to Cabellas. The kids had never been there and I thought it would be so much fun to go see all the animals. Chloe was very terrified of the fish. Man they have some big ones. Josh loved the entire experience.

And of course we had to take a time out for Frosties. Mmmm.... chocolately goodness. It's been a very busy and a very fun weekend. Now a date with my man is all I need to make this a perfect weekend.

Off to Long Beach

As most of you know, Ryan is leaving for Ecuador in May. I came to the conclusion that there was no way I was going to stay home for an entire month without him. Therefore I'm off to Long Beach on May 12! We're going to go to Catalina Island, maybe some of the theme parks in the area, who knows, we may just take over the city! Thanks to Leslie for being awesome and coming along with me.
If any of you have been there, what's the best thing to do and/or see? I've only been in Long Beach briefly in the past, so any suggestions are great. If you want to come with us, buy a plane ticket! We'd love more company. The more the merrier right?
Yay for vacation in 2 more months!

Innocent?

How could this face do anything wrong? Well, she has a little thing for markers. I have heard of her coloring the entire table in the kitchen and poor Tina has to scrub away at the marker. Well, here's the story of what happened here. I thought it was so hilarious that I am sharing it with you all!

From Tina's own voice:
"The tale I have to tell is a colorful one. My family and I are house sitting while my parents are gone for 5 days. They have a kitty that is so precious. Her name is princess. This morning I was getting Josh ready for his Valentines party and I had a few last minute things to get ready. So I fixed the kids breakfast and left them down stairs to finish. I was gone maybe ten minutes. I went back downstairs and Chloe had moved into the bathroom where I found her with a magenta Sharpe marker. She had drawn not only on herself but on the carpet and all over my Mom's white and peach colored cat. I asked Chloe what she thought she was doing. She told me," Mommy I am just making the Kitty happy." And yes, the kitty was very happy. The poor thing just sat there and let my little artist use her as a canvas. I have attached several pictures for your enjoment. "

Innocent? No way, I think she has guilty written all over her, literally.
