Morning sickness?

What a stupid name for being sick while you're pregnant. Whoever made that up probably wasn't really pregnant. I am sick 100% of the day. Thank goodness it's not real bad all day long. My "morning" apparently is around 10-11 o'clock at night. Just as I am all comfy in bed my body decides to be sick. Last night was my first throw up, but I felt so much better after dinner wasn't in me anymore. So sad, because it was so delicious, although not so delicious on the way back up.

What is your remedy for "morning" sickness?

Preggie Pops were the answer for me. You can buy them at Motherhood Maternity in the Provo mall and they are like 4-5 dollars for like 20 of them. They are like lifesavers and taste like fruit. They have ginger in them to help settle your stomach and were a lifesaver for me for both pregnancies. Don't tell anyone but my hubby has taken them before for an upset stomach...I love them!! Good luck...it won't last forever!!

ZOFRAN! Nothing worked for me but drugs. I had to take one pill a day the entire time I was pregers with Jentz and Kergs. Good luck little cuz! Just remember, it IS worth it!

Lots of women come to the pharmacy to get unisom. but make sure to ask the pharmacist which one to get cause there is one that pregnant women can take that is safe. And of course they get scripts for phenergan and zofran.

I ate preggy pops as well and would snack a lot. I also had to make sure I didn't eat really intense foods and only ate things my body told me it wanted or it would come right back up! Oh boy!

I would say the for sure cure for morning sickness is childbirth.

Good luck with the "magic" that is being pregnant. ;)

These fun times are just the way the Lord teaches you about parental sacrifice. Gets worse (and lots better) from here on out.

I agree...when I was pregnant I decided that it must have been a man that named it "morning sickness"! Good luck!

I feel your pain:) The most annoying part for me was eating, throughing it all up and then needing to eat 30 minutes later cause I didn't keep the first meal down. Also I pretty much only brushed my front teeth for a couple of months cause I'd through up if I went back to far.

LOL I second brushing the front teeth only. And keeping your nose plugged.

I didn't get too sick...I just ate foods that my stomach can tolerate even not being prego! You can do it. :)

I am a nurse friend of Ryan's and 4th time mom. At night protein load (like 40 grams or more). This is an old midwife trick. It must be true, cuz my vegetarian friends get WAY sicker than anyone else. Before bed take Unisom and B12 vitamin (usually doc's recommend). During the day, peel ginger root (produce section) and boil it in water to make a "tea". I like to add a spoonful of orange juice concentrate and dash of cayenne pepper -quite good and more potent then ginger ale. If all else fails - Zofran never fails! Good Luck.

Zofran saved my life when I was pregnant. I took that the whole 9 months I was pregnant. It helped so much!
